How to Be Filled with the Holy Spirit
.
John 3:14    And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18    He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
.
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you” (Acts 1:8). Though all Christians are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, not all Christians are filled (directed and empowered) by the Holy Spirit.
.
There are several ways of understanding “Filling with the Holy Spirit.” Some people teach that it happens AUTOMATICALLY at conversion: when one asks Lord  Jesus Christ into his or her heart. Others believe that filling occurs at some point in rime during the believer’s full acceptance of Jesus Christ both as Lord and Savior. No matter when you are filled with the Holy Spirit you do really  experience it, show it, know it.. All believers are indwelled by the Holy Spirit; however, not all believers are firstly now “filled” with the Spirit and His power, otherwise God would not have to command us to be. The lack of spiritual power is all too evident among believers. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is Not an option. If you have already received Christ, in Ephesians 5:18 God commands all believers to be filled with the Spirit; therefore, we know it is God’s will for everyone. Again it is really a command from God and really not an option.
.
Whatever  there are several Scriptural steps are most certainly initially involved.
.
1:  In preparation for The Filling of the Spirit, Confess known sin and seek and receive forgiveness for all sin even by reliance on the  related completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross for our sins. The Scriptures teach that God works in those who lead a humble, broken, contrite heart.
.
2 In further preparation for The Filling of the Spirit, one must become a confessed believer in Jesus Christ as Son of God who has made the full payment for our sins. Without this act, an acclamation of faith, one cannot be filled with the Holy Spirit, for biblically, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and of Christ.
.
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.  Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
.
3: Read examples of people being filled with the Holy Spirit in the new Testament. Such as Acts2:4, Acts10:44-46 and Acts19:1-6  – Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
.
4: Pray for,  Desire, seek  to be fully controlled by the Holy Spirit, to be under the full influence of the Spirit or to be constantly led by God..  Personally Claim the promises of God that he will reveal himself and fill you  with the Holy Spirit. .John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Acts 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
.

By faith claim the fullness of the Holy Spirit, according to: God’s command  Be filled with the Spirit. “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians  and His Promise – He will always answer when we pray according to His will. “And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14, 15)

.

Pray “Dear Father, I admit I am a sinner, I do need You. I acknowledge that I have been directing my own life and that, as a result, I have sinned against You. I thank You that You have forgiven my sins through Christ’s death on the cross for me. I now invite Christ to again take His place on the throne of my life. Fill me with the Holy Spirit as You commanded me to be filled, and as You promised in Your Word that You would do if I asked in faith. I now thank You for directing my life and for filling me with the Holy Spirit.”

.

Carnal Christians still cannot experience the Abundant and Fruitful Christian Life  Carnal Man (One who has received Christ, but who lives in defeat because he is trying to live the Christian life in his own strength)
.
Now Find and go to a good Church where they believe in the separate baptism of the holy spirit experience and get prayed on.. as every persons spirit filed in the new testament occurred by the laying on of hands..
.
Acts 8:14    Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15    Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:16    (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)17    Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
.
Next your life will demonstrate more and more of the anointing of of the Holy  Spirit ( acts 10:38)   and you will reflect, be more and more conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Your prayer life and study of God’s Word will become more meaningful. You will experience His power in witnessing (Acts 1:8). You will be prepared for spiritual conflict against the world (1 John 2:15-17); against the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17); and against Satan (1 Peter 5:7-9; Ephesians 6:10-13). You will experience His power to resist temptation and sin (1 Corinthians 10:13; Philippians 4:13; Ephesians 1:19-23; 2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 6:1-16).
.
1 John 1: 1    That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2    (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3    That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4    And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.5    This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.6    If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7    But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8    If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9    If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10    If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
.
Acts 10:38 38    How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
.

The Christian life is  personaly impossible,   it is impossible without the Holy Spirit –on our own. Trying to live the Christian life by your own efforts is like a ship trying to sail on dry land…
.
Ephesians 5:
1    Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2    And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3    But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4    Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5    For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6    Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7    Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8    For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9    (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10    Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11    And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12    For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13    But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14    Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15    See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16    Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17    Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18    And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19    Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20    Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21    Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22    Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23    For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24    Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25    Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26    That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27    That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28    So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29    For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30    For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31    For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32    This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33    Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
 .
As I have often said you are holy spirit filled Christian and taught  lead by the Holy Spirit or you are a carnal Christian or an unchristian, a natural man  and thus hold mostly false Biblical insights. and it will clearly show as to who you are by what you believe in but also with whom you do associate with.. There are not a multiple optional possibility of beliefs or of truths in God Kingdoms
.
Carnal Christians are so close to being unbelievers that they are almost indistinguishable from them. Such Christians are characterized by apathy, division, ongoing strife and a very low EQ! Carnal Christians “bite and devour one another” (Galatians 5:15)
.
“And I brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to carnal men, as to babes in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still carnal. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshy, and are you not walking like mere men?”
.
It is the Holy Spirit who renews, transforms, redeems  our perceptions, beliefs, emotions, and physical bodies and who gives us the wisdom, discernments, insights. as “I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
.
1 Thessalonians 4:
1    Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
2    For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
3    For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4    That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5    Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6    That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7    For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8    He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
9    But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
.
Why aren’t more Christians filled with the Spirit?Simply because of undusbmitted, un confssed  sin. We choose to disobey god. This can take the form of pride: doing and wanting things our way. Living a self sentered life, and We don’t give God control of our finances; we’ve worked hard for our money and it’s ours now. We don’t give God control of our relationships, assciates, choices too;. We don’t give God control of our personal morality; that’s nobody’s business but our own—not even God’s. (Proverbs 3:34).  [God] mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble”  Proverbs 29:  23    A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.24    Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not. 25    The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. 26    Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the LORD. 27    An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked. Or the “Fear of man will prove to be our  snare…” (Proverbs 29:25). Is there something that God wants you to do, but you haven’t done it because you’re afraid of what people will think?

.

Generally non-believers, non Christians  are clearly still  totally ignorant the work of the Holy Spirit.
.
(1 Corinthians 3:1-3).  “A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised” (1 Corinthians 2:14). But “He who is spiritual appraises all things…We have the mind of Christ”  (1 Corinthians 2:15).
